April/Spring 2024 Survey Results

The April/Spring 2024 radioCount release includes data for four markets: Belleville, Peterborough, North Bay and Thunder Bay.

This dataset is comprised of measurement between October 30, 2023 and April 28, 2024 (Continuous Measurement).

There are no station changes from the radioCount October/Fall 2023 release.

 

 

Highlights from April/Spring 2024

  • In the four measured markets, individuals aged 12+ tuned to an average of 17.6 hours of radio per week. Radio listening remains robust across both male and female audiences.
  • Radio listening continues to be strong among key demographics, with adults aged 18-49 and 25-54 tuning in for an average of 18.8 and 18.6 hours per week, respectively. Time spent listening (TSL) among both men and women in these demos was comparable to that of the overall adult audience.​
  • Adult Contemporary and Hot AC formats continue to dominate, capturing a 21.8% share of market tuning. Rock stations follow close behind with a 19.4% share, marking a 6.7% increase from the previous year.​
